A Pivot Born
from Foresight
In 2012, a family from Kharagpur set out to build a cement grinding unit — a bold industrial bet. The business was sound, the ambition real. But when market conditions shifted, most would have held on. The Agarwals chose differently.
They looked around them. The fields of West Bengal stretched endlessly — some of India's most productive paddy land. They looked at what they had: location, logistics, and a deep-rooted belief in doing things properly. In 2019, Pronance Industries pivoted into rice milling.
It wasn't a retreat. It was a recalibration. And it was exactly right.
"We returned to the soil — not out of necessity, but out of vision. The paddy fields around us were always the answer. We just needed the right moment to see it."
